St. Christopher Church Celebrates National Church Musicians Sunday - October 3, 2010   Following Orthros and before the Divine Liturgy, Fr. George offered the traditional 40-Day Blessing Prayers for our newest Parishioner, his mother, and their family! Na Zisoun! May God provide them with many years of good health and Spirit-filled life!                                  During his sermon and following church services, Fr. George recognized the dedicated efforts of our Chantors and Choirs as we celebrate "National Church Musicians Sunday" today. He thanked them for their efforts to lead us in singing our hymns and chanting, and he commended them for their practice both at church and at home.                   The Parish Council and Philoptochos, together with all of our parishioners gave a "surprise" thank you and luncheon in honor of Fr. George, Presbytera Marinda, and their family for their support and encouragement of our parish in commemoration of Clergy Appreciation month. (Click for Fr. George's response)                     Fr. George encourages our younger parishioners to aspire to grow up and sing in the Choir and become Chantors!
