Celebration of the Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos, August 15, 2010   After observing the two week August Fast and traditional weekday Paraklesis Services in preparation for today's Feast, we offered Orthros and Divine Liturgy for the Dormition of the Theotokos that was attended by many of our parishioners and visitors. We wish "Many Years"/"Chronia Polla" to all who are celebrating their Name Day today. Afterwards, Fr. George and our parishioners participated in the following Blessings and Meetings:       Blessing of the Five Loaves in thanksgiving for today's Feast Day           Blessing of our newest Prayer Shawls being presented to the Orthodox Christian Mission Center in St. Augustine, Florida, by Susan Kleto and our parishioners and parish friends who assisted her (and which will be given away by OCMC missionaries traveling to South Africa)       Fr. George reading the message for the new school year from His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios and the blessing of all our students and teachers (click to read text)              Our Parish Family's Congratulations to our Mary's and Peter's who are celebrating their Name Day (including parishioners representing their family members who could not join us)   Our Greek Fest Meeting preparing us for September 18th     Our GOYA Meeting, followed by pizza lunch
